Diane Larsen became a member of the IAASB in January 2021. She was nominated by Ernst & Young.
Diane brings extensive experience in a 30-year career with EY that includes serving as the audit partner on a variety of audit clients both privately and publicly held, across a variety of industries. While serving clients, Diane has also held a number of other roles within EY including, office managing partner, the assurance markets leader for the Americas and working within EY's global professional practice.
Diane currently serves as the Deputy Global Quality Enablement leader where she drives activities that empower audit teams to execute the highest quality audits. As part of these activities, Diane coaches engagement teams in designing and executing effective audit strategies, responding to changes in business and adopting new standards. Diane is also responsible for the firm's global root cause process, monitoring and supporting external inspections by regulators and actively contributing to various learning-related initiatives.
Diane was until recently when she rotated off, a member of the Task Force on climate related financial disclosures (TCFD) created by the Financial Stability Board. The TCFD developed recommendations designed to help companies provide better information to support informed capital allocation.
Diane is a Certified Public Accountant, member of the AICPA and an adjunct accounting professor at a university.
