Jianhua Tang

Dr. Jianhua Tang became a member of IFAC Board in November 2018. He was nominated by the Chinese Institute of CPAs (CICPA).

Dr. Tang is currently Director of Professional Standards, CICPA, focusing of developing and maintaining auditing standards and the code of ethics for Chinese professional accountants. He has been heavily involved in converging Chinese auditing and ethics standards with the International Standards on Auditing, issued by the International Audit and Assurance Standards Board, and the International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants, issued by the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants. Dr. Tang joined CICPA as a non-practicing member in 1997. He is also a member of the CICPA Technical Guidance Committee.

Dr. Tang got his Ph.D. in accounting from the REMIN University in China. He got a MSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manchester and a master in accounting from Zhongnan University of Finance and economics. He studied trade economics in HUAZHONG University of Agriculture and qualified as a CPA in 1997.
